I have amassed a small collection of strange dating emails. I love those things. And almost universally they are examples of how not to make contact with someone online.
Today I received a very short and simple email from a lady that was quite the opposite. The perfect way to say hi: brief, to the point and very funny.
Remember one thing. Match.com, like most other dating websites, likes you to believe that the people you are presented with are somehow perfectly compatible with you. Someone you will be in harmony with. Someone with whom you have chemistry, someone who is a perfect match.
Yeah right.
And today’s subject has cut to the heart of the matter with some really fabulous sarcasm. The second two sentences are merely icing on an otherwise perfect cake.
The match.com computer has selected us for breeding.
