Every time I seee the name Cecil, I think of a "Seasick Sea Serpent". Silly, but what can I say? This picture was taken on the lookout at "Eagle Crest" near Holland Michigan about 1942. Cecil had built Eagle Crest on the shore of Lake Michigan, a nice old vacation house. Unfortunately when it had to be sold the family didn't have the money to buy it. Too bad as it would be worth a lot of money these days.
When I was a child my family often rented the house next door for a week or two in the summer. Some of my fondest childhood memories are from summers at the shore of lake Michigan.
