In the summer of 1930 the Blashills and their new daughter Barbara Jane vacationed on Crooked lake Near Ann Arbor Michigan.
To this day my Aunt Bette still calls Mom "Barbie." It only sounds strange when I write it out, refering to my mom with a name made famous by a famous doll.
